About the Event
One HealthTech London's Lunchtime Sessions are back, this time hosted by our pals of all things data science at the Alan Turing Institute.
This series aims to showcase the tip top folks working to make healthtech policy the best it can be, whilst also lifting the lids on their personal career journeys, current projects and future hopes... but without all the policy guff (keepin' it real folks).
The sessions will be 1 hour long in a "fireside chat" format, so perfect for you to nip out in your lunch break. As ever, these events are BYOL (Bring Your Own Lunch), so grab your sarnie and coffee and spend a fun and informative lunch break.
In this session we have the wonderful Emma Doyle (Head of Data Policy, NHS England) Nada Al-Hadithy (National Medical Director's Clinical Leadership Fellow, Strategy Unit, DHSC) and Renate Samson (Senior Policy Advisor, Open Data Institute) who will be focussing on data transparency and open practices across the public sector, as well as their weird and wonderful career paths of course!
Our MC for this event will be Sarah Deeny, Assistant Director of Data Analytics at the Health Foundation

Logistics
- The Alan Turing Institute can be found on the 1st floor of the British Library. Head in through the main reception and head right and up two flights of stairs. On arrival, you should see a bright sign saying "Alan Turing Institute" as well as an Enigma machine (which is VERY cool)
- At times there can be BIG queues to get into the British Library due to bag checks. Make sure you leave an extra 10 minutes to get through security, or even better, don't bring a bag at all and walk straight through

Accessibility
We’ve been awarded a Fairer Tech grant from doteveryone to make our events more accessible (woop woop!). If for any reason there are barriers to engaging in the community we invite anyone to apply for up to £30* per person per event to cover personal costs to improve this. The money can cover just about anything, including but not limited to child/other care, taxis if you’re not able-bodied, trains if you live out in the countryside, a live captioner, recording of the event or loss of earnings if you have a side job along your studies. Who are we to judge?! If you feel it’s a barrier, we agree too.
Simply fill out this VERY SHORT form and we’ll confirm the expense.

Please note we are in the process of transitioning to a new website and ticketing platform and therefore both the Eventbrite and our website can be used to secure tickets for this event
