About the Event
A welcoming careers evening for people curious about health tech in Scotland — and keen to meet the people, stories, and possibilities behind it.
Tech for Every Body is a friendly, inclusive event bringing together people from all backgrounds with professionals working across Scotland’s health technology sector — from startups and NHS innovation teams to universities, research organisations, and the wider innovation ecosystem.
Expect a warm, informal evening with rapid-fire career stories, honest insights, and plenty of time for conversation. We’ll explore the breadth of roles across health tech, the different routes people have taken into the field, and some of the questions that often come up when you’re figuring out your next step.
Whether you’re a student, early in your career, thinking about a pivot, returning to work, or simply trying to understand what “health tech” actually looks like in practice, this is a chance to meet people, hear real career stories, and get a better sense of the many different ways in. And likewise, if you’re a seasoned healthtech-er keen to give back, share what you’ve learned, and help widen the door for others — get yourself in the room too.
What to expect:
Short talks from people working across Scotland’s health tech landscape
Honest reflections on career journeys, pivots, and pathways in
Insights into the kinds of roles, organisations, and opportunities that exist across the sector
Informal networking with professionals, peers, and role models in a welcoming setting
Who it’s for:
Students, early-career professionals, career changers, returners, and anyone interested in exploring a future in health tech — especially those who don’t always see themselves reflected in traditional tech spaces. It’s also for people already working in health tech who want to support others, make connections, and help build a more inclusive sector. You don’t need to be technical. You don’t need to have a five-year plan. You just need to be curious.
