About the Event
We've heard from leaders, clinicians, innovators and technology experts. Now we want to hear from the people who matter most.
Have you ever used the NHS App, booked an appointment online, received a text reminder, had a video consultation, or helped someone else navigate digital health services?
Whether your experience has been positive, frustrating or somewhere in between, we'd love you to join us.
Over the past few months, OHT Leeds has been bringing together leaders from health, academia, industry and communities to explore digital inclusion, digital poverty, literacy, trust and AI. Together we've developed an emerging Trust Framework and are creating a practical resource to help organisations design and implement digital services that work for everyone.
Now we want to sense-check what we've learned with the people who use these services every day.
We won't ask you to be a technology expert. We won't expect you to have all the answers.
We simply want to hear your experiences.
Your stories, insights and ideas will help ensure our resource reflects what really matters to patients, carers and communities and help us identify what organisations need to do differently to make digital health more inclusive, accessible and trustworthy.
During the session we'll:
Share some of the key themes we've heard from our One HealthTech series.
Listen to your experiences of using digital health services.
Explore what helps build trust, and what gets in the way.
Discuss how digital services and AI can support people without leaving others behind.
Identify the practical messages that should be included in our resource for health and care organisations.
Agenda
1.00–1.05pm - Welcome, introductions, consent and ground rules
1.05–1.15pm - What we've heard so far, key themes from our conversations on digital inclusion, digital poverty, literacy, trust and AI
1.15–1.45pm - Listening to lived experience, a facilitated conversation
1.45–1.55pm - Shaping the resource, what should every organisation understand before introducing digital or AI-enabled services?
1.55–2.00pm - Thank you, next steps and opportunities to stay involved
We'll explore questions such as:
Which NHS digital services have you used?
What has worked well and what hasn't?
Have digital services ever made accessing healthcare easier or more difficult?
What helps you trust a digital service?
Where should there always be a human option?
What would make you feel more confident using new digital or AI-enabled services?
What advice would you give organisations designing digital healthcare?
What should our resource include to help create more inclusive, accessible and trusted services?
Whether you're a patient, carer, family member or simply someone with experience of using digital health services, we'd love to hear your perspective.
Because the best digital services are built with people, not just for them.
