Sonia also dedicates her time to mentoring emerging talent, demonstrating her passion for cultivating the next generation of digital leaders.

Dan Rhodes. Bioinformatician at Every Cure

Dan is a Senior Bioinformatician at Every Cure, a non-profit on a mission to save and improve lives by repurposing drugs. He validates the outputs of machine learning models that identify promising drug repurposing opportunities, through the use of orthogonal data sources such as real world data, and large scale omics datasets.

During his PhD, he developed systematic approaches to mine publicly available databases, and large-scale genomic datasets for repurposing opportunities, with a particular focus on rare diseases where treatment options are often limited. He's since worked as a bioinformatician at Genomics England, and Benevolent AI where he led a team tackling target identification through mechanistic drug discovery.

A big thank you our hosts, the Harley Street Health District, and Hale House – the district’s new home for HealthTech innovators for helping make this event series possible.
