About the Event

Introduction Welcome to OHT Stockholm's Article Club! We will be hosting a series of small in-person discussion groups, with each focused on a chosen topic related to health-tech, diversity and inclusion. The first session's topic will be leadership in crisis.

The aim of the Article Club is to create an informal space for everyone to share their experiences and learn from each other. The groups will be kept small to ensure all participants can have a voice in the discussion.

This is an opportunity to meet someone new in our community and have an informal chat about our thoughts and experiences. It's open to anyone interested in the chosen topic, regardless of whether you work in health-tech or not.

For both options, we will do as much as possible to make sure the meet-up happens in a safe environment with plenty of space to spread out. This is also why we have limited the number of tickets to eight.

This session's topic Leadership in crisis At our meet-up, we will discuss what makes a good leader, what are our experiences of good leadership, and what can we do more - either as a leader or employee - to encourage and prioritize inclusive behaviors.

When you're a leader, you might often focus on:

  • Have I communicated our vision correctly to the team?
  • Am I applying an effective decision-making process?
  • Do I display an executive presence?

But what about in a time of crisis such as the pandemic?

Crisis test tension and some emerge as a compassionate leader that can think clearly, offer reassurance and help lift people up. Others in crisis mode can fall into patterns of bias and exclusion - intentionally or unintentionally.

At our meet-up, we will discuss what makes a good leader, what are our experiences of good leadership, and what can we do more - either as a leader or employee - to encourage and prioritize inclusive behaviours.

When you register, you will receive two article links around this topic, as well as some discussion questions to get you started.
