Making good mental health easily accessible.

My work with VCSE BME services, adapting generic NHS Talking Therapies services to reflect the culture, beliefs and language of the communities they support, has transformed mental health talking therapies in these communities, with the highest recovery rates and completion rates across England. By trusting our VCSE providers and giving the proper resources and support, they have developed incredible services for their communities.

If you could wave a magic wand and advance any area or issue in HealthTech, what would it be?
Agreeing what is considered evidence to demonstrate efficacy and impact for digital tools in the prevention pathway in mental health. This would empower users to select tools with confidence and reassure professionals to recommend high-performing resources confidently.

What’s one piece of advice you would give to aspiring HealthTech professionals looking to make a difference in the industry?
Make sure to consider the value and impact of your product or solution through the lens of every stakeholder and user that will engage with it, as you are not designing for an individual but a system.

One of my more unusual jobs in my 20s was working as a figure model in an art school in Florence!
