What inspired you to pursue a career in HealthTech?
After years of direct patient care as a physician, I realized technology could amplify my impact beyond one-on-one interactions. I love applying an engineer’s mindset to healthcare problem-solving, be it improving both individual patient experiences or rethinking the infrastructure and the systems around them.

If you could wave a magic wand and advance any area or issue in HealthTech, what would it be?
Assistive technologies for people with disabilities. I’m fascinated by the engineering challenge of making devices like wheelchairs and respiratory equipment more lightweight and portable without compromising functionality. There’s still so much room for innovation in everyday mobility and independence.

What’s one piece of advice you would give to aspiring HealthTech professionals looking to make a difference in the industry?
Think about the user experience. Get as much field experience as possible. Spend time with the people who will actually use the technology, understand their daily realities and frustrations.

What’s your favourite way to de-stress after a busy day at work?
Taking a long walk through bustling city streets as the sunlight fades and the evening lights begin to glow.
