One HealthTech Aberdeen’s first event of 2023 was a Burns Night Mixer! For those who may be unfamiliar with Scottish culture, Burns Night is a celebration of the life and poetry of the Scottish poet Robert Burns held annually on January 25th, the poet's birthday. It really is a celebration of Scottish heritage, culture, and food.
Our event was co-organised with Women in AI Scotland, a group focused on inspiring and connecting women and people from under-represented communities in Scotland. The group is centred around the potential for AI to positively benefit society and the economy.
The evening was a great success, with interesting conversation, delicious snacks and drinks – though no haggis, for better or worse... The atmosphere was lively, and the attendees had a great time networking and chatting. The Scottish music, courtesy of our brilliant host ONE Tech Hub, certainly added to the festive atmosphere.
We are proud to have co-organised this event with Women in AI Scotland. It was a great way to start the year, and we are looking forward to more events coming up in the next few months. So stay tuned!
